Chris Johnson has devoted her life to the deep listening that underpins ‘what matters most’ in people’s lives.  She’s passionately committed to cultivating exemplary leaders, collaborative teams, healthy workplaces and engaged, thriving communities. An experienced psychologist, teacher and leadership coach she’s known for creating trust with those who value her honesty, deep listening and commitment to their success.

When she’s not working, Chris is likely either making art, gardening, or at the aikido dojo where she practices and teaches the art of peace.


Melanie Shaw

Strategy & Finance

Melanie is a CFO/Principal with ProCFO Partners who is dedicated to bringing together both ‘consciousness’ and ‘capitalism’ to help make our local and global communities a better place.

She serves as part-time CFO to multiple small to medium size organizations to bring visions and values to life. Her innovative energy, along with powerful strategy, vision, and collaboration can be seen in all she does.

With a passion for food, restaurant, people, and ideas, there is a good chance you may bump into her at a random coffee shop when she is not outdoors, cycling, sailing, or working to elevate humanity through business.

Mark Skala

Mark Skala is a video strategist & entrepreneur, founder of Skalawag Productions, a video agency that helps brands develop and create content strategically. Mark has always been dedicated to creating visual solutions to business problems and helping clients understand how video can help brands (big and small) succeed. Mark is dedicated to helping foster purpose, creative experimentation and value driven business practices in his company and life. That's how the path led him to Conscious Capitalism. Outside of work, Mark loves to play with his twin toddlers, his always-hungry dog Hot Dish, and tries to bring hospitality to life every day by being an avid home cook.


Stephen Achilles

Stephen Achilles leads mission-driven organizations. After leading two consulting practices and three successful turnarounds pivoted and has spent the last 12 years leading nonprofit organizations. Today he is the COO of GiGi’s Playhouse providing free world-class services to people with Down syndrome at 58 locations across the United States and Mexico and providing virtual services in over 70 countries. Stephen is committed to making a positive impact, exemplifying compassion, and creating an organization where people can learn, grow, and thrive.  This was the path that led him to Conscious Capitalism. Outside of work, Steve focuses on his family, triathlon, and enjoying his new home in Chicago.


Cassandra Quinn

Cassandra Quinn (she/her) partners with socially conscious organizations, empowering them to achieve sustainable growth and profitability. Her 11+ years of business ownership, coupled with unique professional experience across a wide variety of industries, now helps her create growth, stability, and satisfaction within other businesses.  With expertise in optimizing teams, sales, and operations, Cassandra specializes in creating positive, supportive work cultures and creates innovative solutions and comprehensive growth strategies for her clients. Her approach prioritizes a triple-bottom-line framework where success is measured by People, Profit, and Planet. Addie Peper is the Cultivator of Connection at Envision IT, an organization focused on enriching the lives of their stakeholders through technology optimization. With her growth mindset, creativity, and passion for conscious business she continues to strategically push the envelope with B2B marketing. She is a thought leader with a track record of effectively delivering on go-to-market strategies with differentiated branding, growing brand-awareness, and customized and catalyzing social media approaches. Beyond her professional sphere, Addie’s artistic spirit extends to crafting small-batch candles and culinary exploration, embodying her quest to foster connections through creativity. When not actively cultivating connections, she can be found exploring in nature whether it be on a local hike or adventuring to new landscapes.


Dru Shockley

Dru Shockley calls his mission The 100 Year Itch, that urge to make such a positive splash the ripples continue 100+ years. He explores and exploits business passions via his web-dev company Call To Action Alliance. 

B.S. in Journalism led Dru to work 9 years within AT&T/Lucent/Avaya editorially supporting train-the-trainers. Post Telecom Bust, he reinvented himself as a web designer.

He's lived mostly in Colorado where the outdoors, volunteerism, networking and community captivated him. He built an event called Boost Biz Ed: 5 chapters, 3 states, 2/month, unique speakers. 

After spans in OR and SoCal, Dru moved to Chicago in 2021. Loving the urban/ ethnic vibe, Dru further leverages strategy and technology for long-game, sustainable prosperity.
